Venue: IIT Kanpur
Date: 13-15 February, 2014
Understanding complex biological systems in terms of chemical and physical principles has remained a great challenge in natural science. The most recent theoretical and experimental studies towards this goal will be covered in a three-day conference entitled Dynamics of Complex Chemical and Biological Systems (DCCBS14). The conference will be held at IIT, Kanpur from February 13-15, 2014. This meeting will showcase recent advances in this area from chemical, physical and biological perspectives. Many leading researchers in this area from both abroad and India will attend and deliver invited lectures at this meeting. In addition to the senior and distinguished invited speakers, many young researchers will also attendthe meeting and presentposters. Thus, this meeting will not only highlight the latest developments but will also provide a platform for young researchers to interact with the world leaders. A special evening session of this symposium is planned to felicitate Professor Biman Bagchi, IISc, Bangalore, who will be 60 in 2014. This would be a truly world-class research conference on statistical mechanics, computer simulations, femtosecond spectroscopy and single molecule spectroscopy.
IIT Kanpur is a premier educational and research institute in India and we expect the participants to also enjoy fruitful interactions with the different experimental and theoretical scientists in the Department of Chemistry at IITK during their stay here.
