ATHARVA One fine sunny day, back in the year 1988, began the fascinating and vibrant journey, which has stood the test of time and gone on to become bigger and better with every passing year. True to our scenic locale, we called it the ‘Hill Fest’ back then, when this journey began more as an intra-college event, in order to encourage maximum student participation and help them showcase their array of talents and competitive spirit. As years went by, in the year 1996, Hill Fest was renamed as ‘Summit’, and transformed for the first time into an inter-B school fest, which attracted the brightest of minds from across the nation. However, the radical change came through in the year 2002, when Summit was metamorphosed to its current majestic avatar – ATHARVA!

CHOREO NIGHT: the single biggest inter college dance competition of south India. A perfect place to flaunt your dancing skills in front of 8000 people, with immense prize money, goodies and dancing offers for winners! Salsa Workshop: arguably the most famous and sought after event amongst students! Always wanted that one chance of dancing with a partner, here it is. Decibels: die hard rock/metal lover? Made a band with friends over a weekend and feel like you have what it takes? This is your chance to make it big in the rock world, and pump the adrenaline in an audience of over 8000 people! Winners get to open the Rock Show night! Tarang: Want to play on the same stage as AR Rahman, Zakir Hussain, Shivamani, Aniruddh Ravichandar? Participate in Tarang, the light music band competition, and battle for glory! Speaking events: Throw away the blanket of shyness and charm the crowds by the power of words! Speaking events range all the way from JAM to being a young reporter! Quizzing: rigorous fan of quizzes and general knowledge?
